Theatre Students Jam with Tuck & Patti!

On Friday, September 13, the world-renowned jazz music duo, Tuck and Patti, gave a masterclass to our Yoh Theatre Players in the band room. Tuck and Patti were in town for the TEDx Conference at Billings Farm and stopped by WUHSMS to share their love of music with our students. For the first half of the class Tuck, on guitar, and Patti, on vocals, sang some of their own songs and during the second half of the class, students took the lead and made song suggestions.

Accompanying the musicians and students was sophomore, Satori Rossi, on bass. Finn Farrell sang "I've Got You Under My Skin" written by Cole Porter, Mimi Konda-Olmstead sang "All Along the Watchtower" by Jimi Hendrix, and Lylah Zeitlin sang "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman. Reflecting on the "House of the Rising Sun" sung by Tegan Miller, Addison Blanchard commented, "You could really feel the energy in the room!"

Thanks so much to Pentangle, Tuck, and Patti for this wonderful, engaging, uplifting, and inspiring opportunity!
